EverFocus Rolls Out 8 Megapixel Full-color AI Network Cameras
24/7 full color imaging, fantastic AI function ready, and fully NDAA-Compliant

Taipei, Taiwan, December 21, 2021 – EverFocus Electronics Corporation (TPE: 5484), the leading provider of smart surveillance and smart transportation solutions, is excited to announce a series of new full-color network cameras which achieve 24/7 full color imaging and fully comply with NDAA standards– EBN3840-NV 8MP Ball Network Camera and EZN3840-NV 8MP Bullet Network Camera. The built-in high performance chipset enables the 8MP network camera to extend powerful image encoding capability up to 30fps at 3840x2160 viewing resolution, as well as support triple streaming using H.264 and H.265 image compression standards. Moreover, it brings color imaging to ultra-high-definition levels both day and night. With better image quality and richer details, Full color cameras can be applied to a wider range of scenes, including stadiums, airports, ports and parking lots, which require clear and high-resolution images.
 
As to the practicality of video surveillance, color-related information is essential to identify the details of an incident, especially at night. Traditional cameras with infrared lighting only provide black and white images for night monitoring, therefore, people, vehicles or other important objects are easily blurred and blended into the background, making it difficult to distinguish key elements from others. EverFocus full-color technology can easily solve these common issues and enable the cameras to produce color video even in extremely dim environments. Especially, the lens of the EBN3840-NV and EZN3840-NV Full-color AI Network Cameras retain the F1.0 ultra-large aperture design, which allows four times more light entering the lens than a traditional camera (with F2.0). Focusing on high-definition cameras with a large aperture of F1.0 is a major technical difficulty in the industry, because production requires very strict and precise manufacturing processes.
 

EBN3840-NV and EZN3840-NV feature a 3.6mm fixed lens and a 8-Megapixel progressive scan CMOS sensor, the new network cameras unfold high sensitivity which enables them to perform clear color display with less image noise in most surveillance environments; meanwhile, the WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) functionality enables the camera to provide perspicuous images even under back light situations where intensity of illumination can vary excessively. Besides 12VDC power supply, the network cameras also support Power over Ethernet IEEE 802.3af supplying power to the camera via network for easy installation with only one cable, eliminating the need for power cables and reducing installation costs. Equipped with weather-resistance (IP66) housing plus true day/night functionality with automatic IR filter operation which enables night visibility up to 30 meters/98 feet and meets a wide variety of needs for outdoor surveillance.
 
Regarding the source of the chips used by IP Cameras, the US NDAA clause has explicitly banned HiSilicon’s and Huawei’s chips. To fully comply with NDAA standard, EverFocus has mass-produced the "Taiwan Chip Web Camera" since 2020, and now it produces second generation of NDAA-compliant chip products, the performances of all aspects in minimum illumination, wide dynamic range (WDR), electric focus speed, video compression are amazing. Besides, the security control industry has gradually evolved with the maturity and combination of the Internet of Things and artificial technologies, from the traditional surveillance cameras in the past to the IP Cameras, with the advent of the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things. EverFocus eIVP (EverFocus Intel® video platform) and eNVP (EverFocus NVIDIA® video platform) support basic NVR functions which includes real-time live view, video recording, video playback, alarm notification and etc. NVR AI functions such as driver fatigue and distraction monitoring, pedestrian and vehicle detection, crowd detection and people counting can be performed using the AiO NVR software included in the industrial NVRs.
